Recent Work

Under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), Gaibandha, 25 projects are under implementation.Notable schemes among these projects are:

Work is underway on 04 schemes of 09 important bridge construction projects
Construction work of 1490 m long PC girder bridge over Teesta river on the road connecting Panchpir Bazar-Chilmari upazila headquarters in Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha district has started.
Ghaghat Lake development project is in progress.
Some works have been completed in all upazilas under IRIDP-3 project and some works are in progress.
Rangpur Division Development Project (Phase II). In all the upazilas some work has been completed and some work is in progress.
Work on the RCIP project is ongoing
Work on the PROVATI project is ongoing
City and Union Land Office construction projects are underway.
Work on a social infrastructure development project is underway.
Flood and Disaster Damaged Rural Road Infrastructutre Rehabilitation Project is in progress.
Work on small scale water resources sector development project is in progress.
Upazila Muktijoddha Complex building construction project is in progress.
Work on the Rural Road Rehabilitation (VRIIP) project is underway.
Upazila Town (Non-Municipal) Master Plan Preparation and Basic Infrastructure Development Project in progress.
Work is underway on a country-wide rural hat bazaar development project.
Work is underway on the Program for Supporting Rural Bridges project.
